Fork in the Road

Stand and stare, stock-still
March by mysterious means
Turn on trodden tracks

Yes...and the standing and staring is a wonderful thing to do!

There are always the tracks ones make or the tracks ones do follow.

Yes to standing and staring and the mystery behind the march and the comrade along paths already trodden.

Staring at the track
Imagining different lives
Footprints in dry mud.

My sister doesn't stare long, she has a very simple formula. If we don't know, take the fork on the left, it is less crowded.

This is a wonderful little poem, H.T, unless there is a sign (or use a formula) it is generally a big mystery why we go which way.

the mystery
is in asking questions
that have no answers.

Thanks for this lovely take on the prompt--

I liked Paul's words about questions without answers--
