Glowing eyes wink out
Gentle rustle of crushed leaves
Sleepy warm sighs, chilled

I love wondering what creature it might be sleeping in the crushed leaves -- a fox? a rabbit? a fawn? Like spacedlaw says "mysterious"!

Warm, inviting! I love the glowing eyes winking out, at the start of their "day", blinking in the waking. A lovely crisp, but gentle poem
