Raindrops

Under woolly grey skies
sparkling diamonds fall swiftly
on to a green felt earth

Smoke

Languid spirals drift up
blessed sage cleansing us all
bittersweet comforts

Sunday biking

Pedal fast and hard
up the hill 'round the corner --
wind through my pigtails

Farewells

Staying up past dawn
Immortal notions of youth
Smiles on a smooth face

Stand and stare, stock-still
March by mysterious means
Turn on trodden tracks

Wind

Tempestuous blast
By the heathland, red dust whirls
Grit between my teeth

Circles

Round and round, she curls
dreaming of warm embraces
kitty coterie

Twilight

Glowing eyes wink out
Gentle rustle of crushed leaves
Sleepy warm sighs, chilled

She Chooses Stay

Stay and fight through pain
or leave to hurt (heal) alone

Summit

Rough and friable
the footholds up and upward
a sight to behold

Spectral

Out of touch and sight
a presence still palpable
warm breath on my neck

Paint me a blue sky

Love, soft bristles stroke
Passion, deep cerulean stain
Promise, on lasting canvas
